April 15th Deadline to be Postponed? Plus, Trump Promises Relief Through Payroll Tax Cuts

Congress is evaluating the need to extend the April 15th filing deadline. With the impending slow-down of the workforce due to the Coronavirus, Congress is concerned that the IRS will not be able to provide taxpayer support or process returns timely. Read more about it here.

In other news, in an effort to stale the downward spiral of the markets, Trump promised relief to the American family during the Coronavirus epidemic. He has proposed a bill that would decrease payroll taxes in an effort to put more money in the pockets of workers. Democrats are fighting the bill in its current form claiming there are more effective measures to support the people through the epidemic. Read more about it here.
