Effective Sept. 25, if you would like to voluntarily participate in the CF/SF program, you will need to complete the new on-line Information Return (IR) Application for Transmitter Control Code (TCC).
Next, you will need to follow the testing procedures outlined in Publication 1220, Specifications for Electronic Filing of Forms 1097, 1098, 1099, 3921, 3922, 5498 and W-2G.
If you are an existing FIRE System customer, your TCC(s) will automatically be added to your IR Application for TCC if you complete your application by Aug. 1, 2023.
If you are already approved to participate in the CF/SF program, no action is needed.
