The IRS is full of useful information if you spend a little bit of time looking for it.

The IRS offers a regular flow of information through the IRS Tax Tips section on the IRS.gov website. The tax tips, which consists mostly of tips for taxpayers vs. tax pros, can be found at www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-tax-tips. I did find their tip on safeguarding EFIN’s very relevant for professionals. Tax Pros are a big target for the bad guys since they have so much rich data, so the IRS has provided a step-by-step guide on safeguarding and checking on your EFIN.
