When I started in accounting, the firm I worked for billed my time by the hour. So that meant I was constantly chained to my desk.
I honestly believed that was how it would be my entire career.
And I just couldn’t work like that. I’m an extrovert. I don’t have that type of personality (I know, strange for an accountant).
But then I heard about the cloud. I didn’t quite understand what it was or how it worked, but I heard it could liberate me. I heard it could help me spend less time working and more time traveling.
So I went on a quest to find out exactly how “working” in the cloud worked. I searched and I searched but I never found step-by-step instructions on how to take my firm virtual.
My Google searches all told me that I needed to go virtual but they never taught me how.
So first, I went paperless. It saved space but still meant I had to physically scan in all the documents I received.
Then I went remote. Finally I was getting somewhere, except I still could only work from the computer that had the Remote Desktop installed.
And then finally I discovered apps. This revolutionized my firm. I now felt complete.
I could operate from my phone, my tablet or my computer. As long as I was connected to the internet, I could work from anywhere.
It took me 6 years to piece my app stack together. But I was able to finally break away from the desk.
I finally took that vacation.
Going virtual not only automated my practice and saved me thousands of hours over the years, but it also helped me increase my revenue by at least 30% year over year for the past 4 years.
Years later I’m realizing there is still no class or roadmap teaching firm owners how to make a virtual practice work. And Covid-19 revealed just how much of a reality being virtual had to be.
That’s exactly why I’ve put together the Taking Your Firm Virtual Summit for you.
Over 2 days we’ve got 20+ speakers helping you learn the tools and processes you need to take your practice virtual. That means you will walk away knowing how to confidently and securely take your firm to the cloud.
